Mision BBQ Donates $2,039 to NMB "Shop With a Cop" Program

Mission BBQ in North Myrtle Beach recently donated $2,039 to the North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Department’s “Shop With a Cop” program.

Each Christmas, the program provides gifts and a luncheon for children in need, who are identified by North Myrtle Beach area school counselors.

Each child is treated to lunch and receives a $100 Walmart gift card. North Myrtle Beach Public Safety personnel and community volunteers accompany the children to the store on a shopping trip to help them buy presents, and a winter coat if they need one.
“We greatly appreciate this donation,” said North Myrtle Beach Public Safety Director Jay Fernandez. “It will certainly make Christmas a very special time for these children, who otherwise would just have to do without.”
