The Fat Jack Band Performs in a FREE Concert July 2 at the Horseshoe on Main Street

The public is invited to enjoy a free concert featuring the Fat Jack Band on Thursday, July 2, 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., at the Horseshoe on Main Street in North Myrtle Beach.  The Fat Jack Band is a Beach Music and Motown band from North Myrtle Beach, SC.

 Patrons and concert-goers are encouraged to bring their beach chairs.

Detective William Lynch named Police Officer of the Year and PSO Fire Lieutenant James Vreeland named Firefighter of the Year

During a June 24 luncheon at the Grill House Restaurant in North Myrtle Beach, the North Strand Optimist Club announced its Police Officer of the Year and Firefighter of the Year awards.

State Senator Greg Hembree, accompanied by his wife Renee, presented the awards.

PSO Fire Lieutenant James Vreeland could not attend the ceremony, and Fire Chief Garry Spain accepted the award on his behalf.
