The Election Commission of the City of North Myrtle Beach met November 5 at North Myrtle Beach City Hall to certify Fred Coyne (Cherry Grove Ward), J.O. Baldwin (Crescent Beach Ward), and Hank Thomas (At-Large) as the winners of the three referenced City Council seats.
An
election for the three Council seats was not required pursuant to
Section 7-13-190(E)(1) of the Code of Laws of South Carolina as only one
candidate for each seat filed and no person filed for consideration as a
write-in candidate.
The
three successful Council candidates will be sworn in for their new
four-year terms in office at the November 16, 2015 North Myrtle Beach
City Council meeting.
